
We hope your summer is going well. We have a few updates to share on how the program is progressing.
Collection sites
Cleanfarms will announce approximately 20 sites for year one of the program by the end of the summer. The goal is to start collection of grain bags and twine October 1. You can expect more details from our group and Cleanfarms on how the materials should be prepared along with further instructions.
Webinar for interested sites
Cleanfarms has announced its webinar date as a follow up for sites who couldn’t attend the in-person meetings in June. It will be held Tuesday July 30 from 12 to 1:00 pm MT. Details and registration:

Program brand
Later this summer we will release the branding of the program called, Alberta Ag Plastic. Recycle it! Stay tuned for more details.

Ag Smart Conference
For those of you in the Olds area, come by Ag Smart at Olds College August 13 and 14. We will present an overview of the pilot project and next steps at 12:50 pm on August 14 and there will be a grain bag roller demonstration at 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm. https://agsmartolds.ca/
